INTRODUCTION
 

HINDUSTHAN FACING INDUSTRY was established in the year 1976 by a professional technologist having decades of experience in the industry. Over the years HFI achieved substantial growth through consistent increase in number of factories, employees, branch offices in regions of all major Mining and Heavy Engineering Industries by developing, manufacturing Friction Materials in all forms and Mechanical / Electrical spares for all Heavy Earth Moving Machineries and Heavy Engineering Industries mostly in government sectors.

HFI has so far developed over 500 types of friction liners, essentially as import substitute for all major imported equipments. Today, HFI is the largest manufacturer of Friction Liners and Mechanical spares in Eastern India.

We have also been undertaking/executing REPAIR/REHABILATION of Heavy Equipments/Components on Turnkey basis by our competent team of experienced technical experts

The most significant feature of growth of HFI is that it has so far grown on its own strength without the aid of any institutional finance. HFI has in place computerized systems for office and production management and has been accredited consecutively with ISO 9002 (1994) and ISO 9001:2000 quality systems for its operation.

MANUFACTURING FACILITIES
 

HFI has its Works at Bamunmura in Barasat, West Bengal which is about 35 kms away from Kolkata (Calcutta), 15 kms from the Calcutta airport and about 40 kms from seaport. The Works is situated on a plot covering more than 15000 sq. ft. - approximately half of which is built up area. The Works is well equipped with Mixing Equipment , Hydraulic Press, Grinding and other finishing machineries and has an annual production capacity of around 80,000 pieces of more than 500 variety of Friction Liners and Clutch Facing of any thickness and upto 42 inches (1060 mm) in diameter.

HFI envisages further expansion with establishment of fully equipped factories in Western Coalfields , South Eastern Coalfields and other areas. The newly founded factory in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh has already been in operation and has been awarded Ancillary Industry status by Northern Coalfields Ltd.

REPAIRING / REHABILATION
 
Over the details we have entrusted with repairing / reconditioning / rehabilitation of HEMM equipments, which we executed on turnkey basis and commissioning the equipments both imported and indigenous and of various capacities with very satisfactory performance minimizing downtime of equipments with minimal loss of production.
We have been pioneers, in-fact first time in the world in refurbishment and changing of 'A' Frame Assembly for W2000 Ramson Rapier 24/96 Dragline.
Complete Re-conditioning of Gear Box Assembly.
Repairing Tub Section, Under Carriage of Dragline, Shovel et al.
It has been our pride to achieve the excellence of Repairing / Re-conditioning / Re-habilitation of above 50 Equipments so far with very satisfactory performance.
